Preparation

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them evenly. Dice the tomatoes into small pieces. Tear the mozzarella cheese into small chunks or slices.

2

Season the Vegetables

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced mushrooms and diced tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to coat.

Cooking

3

Sauté the Mushrooms

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, until they are browned and tender.

4

Combine Ingredients

Add the seasoned diced tomatoes to the skillet with the sautéed mushrooms. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the tomatoes to soften and release their juices.

5

Add Mozzarella

Reduce the heat to low and add the mozzarella cheese to the skillet. Stir gently until the cheese starts to melt, about 2-3 minutes.

Serving

6

Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve warm as a main dish or a side.
