Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Wash and slice the oranges, lemons, and limes into thin rounds. Remove the pits from the peaches or apples and chop them into bite-sized pieces. If using strawberries, hull and slice them. Combine all the prepared fruits in a large pitcher.

  2. 2

    Mix the Liquids

In a separate bowl or pitcher, combine the wine, brandy, and orange juice. Stir well to combine.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the liquid mixture over the fruits in the pitcher. Add sugar and cinnamon stick, then stir gently until the sugar is dissolved.

Chilling and Serving

  1. 4

    Chill the Sangria

Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor. This allows the fruits to infuse their flavors into the wine.

  2. 5

    Serve

Before serving, add the sparkling water or soda to the pitcher for some fizz. Stir gently and serve over ice in glasses, making sure to include some of the fruit pieces in each glass.
