Method

Meatball Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Meatballs

Shape the mixture into small meatballs about 2.5 cm in diameter and place them on a plate.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot.

  4. 4

    Fry Meatballs

Add the meatballs to the skillet in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd them. Fry until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Tomato Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté Onions and Garlic

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Tomatoes and Seasonings

Add crushed canned tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

  3. 7

    Simmer Sauce

Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  4. 8

    Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the sauce has simmered, gently add the fried meatballs to the sauce. Stir to coat the meatballs and let them cook in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes.
