Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash the figs thoroughly and slice them in half. Peel and thinly slice the red onion. Set both aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until they are crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain the excess fat.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Sauté the Onions

In the same skillet with some of the bacon fat, add the sliced red onion. Sauté over medium heat until the onions become translucent and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, add the arugula, sautéed onions, and figs. Crumble the cooked bacon and goat cheese on top.

  3. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the balsamic vinegar and olive oil over the salad. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss everything together to combine.
