Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the hot sausage. Use a wooden spoon to break it up into smaller pieces. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add the spicy vodka and bring to a simmer. Stir in the diced jalapeño, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked sausage back into the sauce, stirring to combine. Allow to cook together for another 3-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare Toppings

While the sauce is simmering, slice the hot soppressata into thin rounds. Set aside.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Plate the Dish

Spoon the sausage and sauce mixture onto a serving plate. Tear the burrata into pieces and place on top. Arrange the slices of hot soppressata around the burrata.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, garnished with additional jalapeño slices if desired.
