Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash the Romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Vegetables

Wash the cherry tomatoes and halve them. Peel and slice the cucumber into thin rounds. Add both the cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices to the bowl with the lettuce.

Crouton Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Croutons

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into cubes. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss the bread cubes in the oil mixture until evenly coated.

  2. 4

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the coated bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through for even baking. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Dressing

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 6

    Combine and Serve

Pour the dressing over the salad base in the large bowl. Toss everything together gently until the lettuce and vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing. Top with the homemade croutons. Serve immediately.
