Preparation

  1. 1

    Toast the Hazelnuts

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them for about 10-12 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned. Remove from oven and let them cool. Once cooled, chop coarsely.

  2. 2

    Make the Brown Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue cooking until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Watch closely to avoid burning. Once browned, remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Figs

Wash the figs and slice them in half. Set aside.

Assembling the Toast

  1. 4

    Toast the Bread

In a grill pan or on a toaster, toast the sourdough slices until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

  2. 5

    Add Burrata

Remove the toasted bread from the heat and gently place a generous portion of burrata cheese on each slice.

  3. 6

    Top with Figs

Arrange the halved figs on top of the burrata.

  4. 7

    Drizzle with Brown Butter

Spoon the brown butter over the figs and burrata, allowing it to soak into the bread.

  5. 8

    Finish with Hazelnuts and Seasoning

Sprinkle the chopped hazelnuts over the top, followed by fresh thyme, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  6. 9

    Drizzle with Honey

Finish the dish by drizzling honey over the entire toast for a touch of sweetness.
