Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Chill the Champagne

Place the bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving, or in an ice bucket for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Juice Oranges

If using fresh oranges, juice them to yield about 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Strain the juice to remove pulp if desired.

  3. 3

    Prepare Glasses

Chill your serving glasses in the refrigerator or freezer for a few minutes to keep the Mimosa cool longer.

Mixing and Serving

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In each glass, pour 1 part fresh orange juice and 2 parts chilled Champagne or sparkling wine. The typical ratio is 1/3 juice to 2/3 sparkling wine.

  2. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, garnish with an orange slice on the rim of the glass, add a splash of grenadine for sweetness, or drop in a few fresh berries.

  3. 6

    Serve Immediately

Serve the Mimosas immediately while the Champagne is still bubbly and enjoy!
