Preparation
- 1
Clean and Slice Pig Ears
Rinse the pig ears under cold water to remove any impurities. Pat dry with a paper towel. Using a sharp knife, slice the pig ears into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 2
Prepare Spice Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the spices are evenly distributed.
Cooking
- 3
Coat Pig Ears
Place the sliced pig ears in a large bowl and sprinkle the spice mixture over them. Toss the ears until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of pig ear into it; if it sizzles, the oil is ready.
