Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the grass-fed ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, but do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, approximately 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of smoked gouda on top of each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun, place a layer of crispy lettuce, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted smoked gouda. Slice the tomato and place it on top of the cheese. Drizzle or spread the special sauce over the tomatoes, then cap with the top half of the bun.
