Method
Preparing the Bread Pudding
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Bread
Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Mix the Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.
Combine the Mixtures
Pour the wet mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes to soak.
Transfer to Baking Dish
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the soaked bread mixture into it, spreading it out evenly.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
Making the White Chocolate Sauce
Heat the Cream
In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer.
Melt the Chocolate
Remove from heat and add the white chocolate chips and butter. Stir until melted and smooth.
Add Vanilla
Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
Serving
Plate the Dessert
Once the bread pudding is baked, let it cool slightly, then cut into squares and serve warm.
Drizzle the Sauce
Drizzle the warm white chocolate sauce over each serving and sprinkle with powdered sugar and fresh berries.
