Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

3

Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and honey until smooth.

4

Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

5

Pour Batter

Pour the cornbread batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Baking

6

Bake the Cornbread

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7

Cool and Serve

Remove the cornbread from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan. Cut into squares and serve warm.

Serving Suggestions

8

Add Toppings

Serve the cornbread warm, topped with fresh blueberries, sliced almonds, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
