Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) for searing the beef.

Prepare the Beef
Take the beef roast out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

Season the Beef
Rub the olive oil all over the beef roast, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Add Herbs
Place the fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs on top of the beef roast.

Sear the Beef
Place the beef roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes to sear it.

Reduce Temperature and Roast
After 20 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.

Rest the Roast
Once the roast reaches the desired temperature, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

Use a sharp carving knife to slice the roast against the grain into thin slices.
