Method

Shrimp Preparation

1

Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add the halved lemon, Old Bay seasoning, and salt.

2

Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque.

3

Cool the Shrimp

Immediately remove the shrimp from the pot and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

4

Drain

Drain the shrimp and set them aside on a plate or serving dish.

Cocktail Sauce

5

Mix the Sauce

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.

6

Adjust Flavor

Stir the mixture well. Taste and add hot sauce if desired to reach your preferred level of spiciness.
