Prepare the Pasta
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the squid ink pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Make the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the jumbo shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, approximately 5-7 minutes.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked squid ink pasta to the skillet and toss everything together. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.

Garnish and Serve
Remove from heat, stir in fresh basil, and serve hot. Drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle with more chili flakes if desired.
