Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and rose water until the mixture is smooth.

  2. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  3. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

Fold in dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if using.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  2. 7

    Cool and Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and garnish with dried rose petals before serving.
