Method
Brownie
- 1
Prepare the Brownie Batter
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- 3
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved.
- 5
Chill the Mixture
Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to chill thoroughly.

Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm.
Date Caramel

Prepare the Caramel
In a blender, combine the pitted medjool dates and water. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more water if needed to reach desired consistency.

Add Flavor
Add vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt to the date mixture, blending until well combined.
