Method
Biscuit Directions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and butterfly pea flower powder until well combined.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Milk
Pour in the milk and mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the dough.
- 5
Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it into a 1-inch thick round and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
- 6
Bake
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Jam Directions
- 7
Prepare the Fruit
Wash and chop the seasonal fruit into small pieces, removing any pits or stems.
- 8
- 9
Simmer
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
- 10
Cool and Store
Remove from heat and let the jam cool completely before transferring it to a jar for storage.
