Stout-Horseradish Cream Sauce

Preparation

Slice the Meat
If using beef, thinly slice the Certified Angus Beef® against the grain. If using chicken, cut into tender chunks.

Chop Vegetables
Thinly slice the onion and bell pepper.
Cooking

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Cook the Meat
Add the sliced beef or chicken to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through, about 5-10 minutes.

Melt the Cheese
Layer the American cheese on top of the cooked meat and vegetables. Cover the skillet with a lid to help the cheese melt, about 2-3 minutes.

Make Stout-Horseradish Cream Sauce
In a medium bowl, combine stout beer, horseradish, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.

Assemble the Sandwich
Spoon the beef or chicken mixture onto the bottom half of the baguette. Drizzle with stout-horseradish cream sauce, then place the top half of the baguette over it.
