Method
Prepare Fried Chicken
- 1
Marinate Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).
- 2
Dredge Chicken
In a separate bowl, place the all-purpose flour. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge in flour until well-coated.
- 3
Fry Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated chicken thighs in the skillet. Fry for about 7-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Assemble Salad
- 4
Prepare Salad Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, add the salad mix, cherry tomatoes (halved), sliced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Toss gently to combine.
- 5
Add Fried Chicken
Once the fried chicken has cooled slightly, slice it into strips and place it on top of the salad.
- 6
Drizzle with Honey
Drizzle honey over the top of the salad to taste, and serve immediately.
