Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a 1/2 lb patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place the pimento cheese on top of the patty and cover it with a lid to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Bun

Toast your burger bun lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 5

    Layer the Toppings

On the bottom bun, layer the shredded lettuce, followed by the cooked patty with melted pimento cheese, crumbled bacon, sliced tomato, sliced onion, and house pickles.

  3. 6

Add Sauce and Cap the Burger

Drizzle the burger sauce over the toppings and place the top bun over the burger.

Kool-Aid Pickle Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Brine

In a bowl, mix the Kool-Aid packet, sugar, and water until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 8

    Pickle the Dill Pickles

Pour the Kool-Aid mixture over the dill pickles in the jar and seal tightly. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
