Chicken Tenders
Kool-Aid Pickles
Method
Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide. This will help them cook evenly.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the chicken strips and buttermilk. Ensure all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).
- 3
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each strip in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere. Place the breaded chicken on a plate.
- 5
Fry the Tenders
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken tenders in batches (do not overcrowd the pan). Fry each side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Kool-Aid Pickles
- 6
Prepare the Pickles
Open the jar of pickles and drain the liquid. Place the pickles back in the jar or a mixing bowl.

- 8
- 9
Refrigerate
Refrigerate for at least 24 hours for the best flavor. The pickles will change color and absorb the Kool-Aid flavor.
