Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil, then sprinkle salt, black pepper, and garlic powder evenly on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add fresh rosemary for flavor.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add the potatoes. Cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

In the last 5 minutes of cooking the potatoes, add the garlic cloves to the pot.

  3. 6

    Drain and Mash

Once the potatoes and garlic are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper, and mash until smooth and creamy.
