Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to achieve crispy fries.
- 2
Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick, to ensure even cooking.
- 3
Season the Sweet Potatoes
In a large bowl, combine the sweet potato strips with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cornstarch. Toss until all the fries are evenly coated.
Baking
- 4
Arrange the Fries
Spread the seasoned sweet potato strips in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they are not overcrowded for even crispiness.
- 5
Bake the Fries
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the fries are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the baking time for even cooking.
Serving
- 6
Serve Hot
Once done, remove the fries from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve hot as a side dish.
