Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture along with the olive oil. Mix until a dough starts to form.
- 3
Knead Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Topping Preparation
- 5
Prepare Clam Mixture
In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chopped baby clams and diced roasted red peppers. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, then remove from heat.

Pizza Assembly and Baking
- 7
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- 8
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a large pizza shape, about 12-14 inches in diameter.
- 9
Add Toppings
Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet. Spread the clam mixture evenly over the dough, then sprinkle crumbled bacon, shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- 10
Bake Pizza
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- 11
Garnish and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before slicing and serving.
