Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it's frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough

In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Once the yeast is activated, add it to the flour along with olive oil. Mix until combined.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté Garlic

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Clams and Peppers

Stir in the chopped baby clams and roasted red peppers. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, mixing well.

  3. 6

    Add Bacon

Add crumbled bacon to the skillet mixture and season with black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 7

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 8

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 9

    Add Toppings

Place the rolled dough on a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the clam mixture evenly on top, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  4. 10

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

  5. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Remove pizza from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, slice, and serve hot.
