Prepare the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground Wagyu beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties
Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
Cook the Burger

Add Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assemble the Burger

Prepare the Rolls
While the burgers are cooking, slice the hard rolls in half and lightly toast them if desired.

Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of each roll, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a slice of tomato, the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, a few bread and butter pickles, and a dollop of mayonnaise.

Finish the Burger
Top with the other half of the roll and press down gently to secure. Serve immediately.
