Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a dough starts to form.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Topping Preparation

  1. 6

    Sauté Shrimp

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, then add the shrimp. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, approximately 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 7

    Prepare Vegetables

While the shrimp cooks, chop the spinach and slice the fresh tomatoes.

Pizza Assembly and Baking

  1. 8

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.

  2. 9

    Shape the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a large circle to fit your pizza pan or stone.

  3. 10

    Add Toppings

Spread the sautéed shrimp evenly over the pizza base. Layer the chopped spinach, then add the sliced tomatoes on top. Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over everything.

  4. 11

    Bake the Pizza

Carefully place the pizza in the preheated oven or on the pizza stone. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. 12

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
