Method
For the Truffle Mozzarella Sticks
- 1
Prepare the Cheese Sticks
Take the mozzarella cheese sticks out of the freezer and let them sit for about 10 minutes to slightly soften. This will help them not to burst while frying.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three shallow bowls, prepare your breading station: one with flour, one with beaten eggs (add truffle oil to the eggs and mix), and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with salt and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Cheese Sticks
Dip each mozzarella stick first into the flour, covering it completely, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring each stick is fully coated. For extra crunch, you can repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping in a small piece of bread; it should sizzle immediately.
- 5
Fry the Mozzarella Sticks
Carefully place 3-4 breaded mozzarella sticks into the hot oil, frying them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Add Tomatoes and Vodka
Stir in crushed tomatoes and vodka, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Finish the Sauce
Slowly stir in heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir in fresh parsley before serving.
