Method
Pizza Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- 3
Knead Dough
Mix until a dough forms, then turn it out onto a floured surface. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Roasting Garlic
- 5
Prepare Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in aluminum foil.
- 6
Roast Garlic
Place the wrapped garlic in the oven and roast for 30-35 minutes until soft and caramelized.
Pizza Assembly
- 7
Preheat Oven
While the garlic is roasting, preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone inside if you have one.
- 8
Prepare Toppings
Once roasted, squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins into a bowl and mash them with a fork. Set aside.
- 9
Roll Out Dough
After the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it onto a floured surface. Roll it out into your desired shape and thickness.
- 10
Add Toppings
Spread the mashed roasted garlic evenly over the pizza base. Evenly distribute fresh spinach, marinated artichoke hearts, and crumbled goat cheese on top. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper.
Baking
- 11
Bake Pizza
Carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated stone or a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
- 12
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
