Main Ingredients

Method

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pan

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Let it melt completely.

  2. 2

    Crack the Eggs

Carefully crack the 2 eggs into the pan. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Eggs

Cook the eggs until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3–4 minutes. For over-easy eggs, gently flip the eggs and cook for an additional minute.

Cooking the Meat

  1. 4

    Cook the Bacon or Sausage

In a separate pan, cook the 4 pieces of bacon or sausage over medium heat until crispy and browned, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Preparing Hashbrowns or Tater Tots

  1. 5

Cook the Hashbrowns or Tater Tots

In the same pan used for the meat, add the hashbrowns or tater tots and cook according to package instructions until golden brown and crispy, about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Making the Toast

  1. 6

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs and hashbrowns are cooking, toast the 2 slices of bread in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once everything is cooked, plate the eggs, bacon or sausage, hashbrowns or tater tots, and toast. Serve immediately.
