Method
Pancake Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- 2
Combine Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until fully blended.
- 3
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
- 4
Preheat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a little butter.
- 5
Cook Pancakes
Pour 1/2 cup of the pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
