Country Fried Steak

Prepare the Steak
Tenderize the beef round steak using a meat mallet until about 1/2 inch thick.

Dredge the Steak
In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Dredge each piece of steak in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.

Fry the Steak
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip each floured steak into the egg wash, then return to the flour mixture for a second dredge. Fry the steaks in the hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Sausage Gravy

Cook the Sausage
In a separate skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled.

Make the Gravy
Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.
Hashbrowns or Tater Tots

Prepare the Hashbrowns/Tater Tots
Heat vegetable oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add the frozen hashbrowns or tater tots and cook according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
