Method
Calzone Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a medium bowl, combine the Italian sausage, chopped meatballs, salami, mozzarella, provolone, ricotta, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 3
Roll Out Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle, about ¼ inch thick.
- 4
Fill the Calzone
Place a generous portion of the filling on one half of the dough circle. Be careful not to overfill.
- 5
Seal the Calzone
Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and crimp the edges to seal. Use a fork to make sure it’s tightly closed.
- 6
Brush with Olive Oil
Transfer the calzone to the prepared baking sheet, and brush the top with olive oil.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 8
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
