Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Smoked Brisket
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Rub the beef brisket with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for about 8-10 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C). Let it rest for at least 30 minutes before chopping.
- 2
Cook the Burger Patties
While the brisket is resting, shape the ground beef into 4 equal patties. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- 3
Assemble the Burger
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in the oven. To assemble, place the burger patty on the bottom bun, top with a generous portion of the smoked chopped brisket, and finish with the top bun.
