Ingredients for Hand-Breaded Chicken Strips
Method
Instructions for Preparing Hand-Breaded Chicken Strips
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour (mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder), whisked eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Make sure they are well covered.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Strips
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken strips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce and side.
