1. Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the Russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch, then soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.

2. Dry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels until they are completely dry.

3. Heat the Oil
