Method
Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Oven and Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Melt Butter and Combine Sugars
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and light brown sugar until well combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 4
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- 5
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- 6
Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- 7
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting them into squares and serving.
