Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and rub the BBQ rub all over it, ensuring it's well coated.

  2. 2

    Marinate

In a bowl, mix apple cider vinegar and liquid smoke. Place the seasoned pork in a large zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag, removing as much air as possible, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork

Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C). Place the marinated pork shoulder on the smoker/grill and cook for about 8-10 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

  4. 4

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the smoker/grill and let it rest for 30 minutes. Shred the meat using two forks.

  5. 5

    Serve

Mix the shredded pork with BBQ sauce and serve on buns. Top with coleslaw if desired.
