Prepare Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Extracts
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add in the vanilla and peppermint extracts until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in Chocolate Chips and Peppermint
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Scoop Dough
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the centers are still soft.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
