Method
Baking Instructions
- 1
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth, stirring after each interval.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until pale and frothy. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- 4
Combine Mixtures
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and stir until well combined. Gently fold in the flour until no streaks remain.
- 5
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.
- 6
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Let the cakes cool for 1 minute. Carefully run a knife around the edges, then invert onto plates. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately with a scoop of ice cream.
