Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the onion, jalapenos, mushrooms, green bell pepper, and tomato.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced onions and sauté until translucent. Then add jalapenos, mushrooms, and green pepper. Cook until tender. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, push the vegetables to one side and add the thinly-sliced steak. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Place the slices of Swiss cheese over the steak and veggies. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  5. 5

    Toast the Hoagie Buns

While the cheese is melting, split the hoagie buns and toast them in a toaster or on a skillet until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Spoon the steak and vegetable mixture into the toasted hoagie buns. Top with sliced tomatoes and serve immediately.
