Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 2 minutes until golden.

  3. 3

    Add Liquid Ingredients

Gradually whisk in the beer and milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook while stirring until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Cheese and Seasonings

Remove the pot from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until melted. Add hot sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.

  5. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring to coat the pasta evenly.

  6. 6

    Bake the Dish

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your spicy beer mac and cheese!
