Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Broth

Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer and allow it to cook for 10-15 minutes to enhance the flavors.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sandwiches

While the au jus is simmering, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. Fill each roll with a generous portion of sliced roast beef and top with 2 slices of Swiss cheese.

  4. 4

    Toast the Sandwiches

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are toasted.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the sandwiches from the oven, slice them in half if desired, and serve warm with the au jus on the side for dipping.
