Method

Prepare the Wings

  1. 1

    Clean and Dry the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture will help them crisp up during frying.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until evenly combined.

  3. 3

    Coat the Wings

Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the dry mixture. Toss them until they are fully coated with the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.

Fry the Wings

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.

  2. 5

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 6

    Drain the Wings

Using a slotted spoon, remove the wings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Toss in Sauce

  1. 7

    Choose Your Sauce

In a large bowl, choose your sauce (buffalo, BBQ, or honey mustard).

  2. 8

    Toss the Wings

Add the fried wings to the bowl with the sauce. Toss them until they are fully coated with the sauce of your choice.

Serve

  1. 9

    Plate and Serve

Serve the wings hot with additional sauce on the side if desired. Enjoy your crispy fried wings!
