Main Ingredients
For Marinade
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until the sugar dissolves.
- 2
Marinate the Salmon
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for best flavor.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Grill or Oven
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Cook the Salmon
Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it on the grill or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Grill the salmon for 5-7 minutes per side, or until it flakes easily with a fork. If baking, cook for 12-15 minutes.
- 5
Glaze with Teriyaki Sauce
During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the salmon with teriyaki sauce for added flavor.
- 6
Garnish
Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill or oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
