Method
Beef Patty Preparation

- 2
Form patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
Grilling
- 3
Preheat grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).
- 4
Cook patties
Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.
Assembly
- 5
Prepare toppings
While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves, slice the tomato, and prepare the pickles.
- 6
Assemble the burger
Place a grilled patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each burger bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun.
