Beef Marinade

For Cooking

Method

Marinate the Beef

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Mix well until sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for best flavor.

Prepare the Vegetables

  1. 3

    Slice the Vegetables

While the beef is marinating, julienne the carrot, slice the bell pepper, and thinly slice the onion. Set aside.

Cook the Beef and Vegetables

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Stir-Fry the Beef

Remove the beef from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and add it to the hot skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.

  3. 6

    Add the Vegetables

Add the julienned carrot, sliced bell pepper, and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  4. 7

    Add Marinade

Pour the reserved marinade over the beef and vegetables. Cook for another minute, stirring to combine and heat through.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
