Schnitzel Sandwich Ingredients
Method
Preparation Steps
Prepare the Schnitzel
Slice the pork loin or chicken breast into thin cutlets. Season with salt and black pepper.
Breading Process
Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs. Dredge each cutlet in flour, dip into the eggs, and then coat with bread crumbs.
Fry the Schnitzel
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded cutlets until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
Assemble the Sandwich
Cut the buns in half. Spread the special sauce on the bottom half, add a layer of lettuce, place the schnitzel on top, add sliced tomato, and cover with the top half of the bun.
Serve
Serve the schnitzel sandwiches warm with your choice of sides.
