1. Step 1

Preheat a small skillet over medium heat. Brush the cut sides of the slider buns with melted butter and toast, cut sides down, until lightly golden and fragrant, about 2–3 minutes. Set on a platter.

Spread a thin layer of softened cream cheese on the bottom half of each toasted bun to act as a flavorful binder.

Lay 1–2 slices of La Quercia speck over the cream cheese layer on each bottom bun. If the speck is very wide, fold it to fit.

4. Step 4

Dollop a small amount of pepper jelly over the speck, spreading evenly so it creates a glossy, sweet-and-spicy glaze.

5. Step 5

Top with a handful of fresh arugula leaves for peppery brightness. Sprinkle with chopped chives if using.

6. Step 6

Place the top half of the bun on each mini sandwich and secure with a small toothpick. Arrange on a platter and serve at room temperature.
